I’ve Faced the same problem with my Messenger Till “Jonathan Kay” published the Solution.

Do you have the same problem with Windows live essentials ?! Well, if you have it Then Don’t worry, you are not the only one. with more searching and
contacting with some people
I managed to get some useful info that really helped me personally.
If you can’t UNINSTALL Windows Live version 8.1 or 9 or whatever, or can’t re-install old version because it says new version is still in the system
Additionally, in some cases the installer can’t be found in the Control Panel’s Programs applet or has become damaged with a Catastrophic failure (0x8000ffff) error or the Windows Installer is prompting for a missing .msi file which you can’t find anymore.
